Improper parameter setting

If the bottom heating temperature of the glass tempering oven is too high, white haze may occur. It is critical to adjust the temperature parameters of the bottom heating zone to meet the specific heating needs of the glass. Additionally, white haze can occur if there is insufficient thermal balance in the heater. Increasing the pressure or extending the on time of the thermal balance can help alleviate this problem.

Mechanical causes in the tempering process

Mechanical problems, such as unsynchronized ceramic rolls or excessive radial runout during rotation, can cause white haze. It is critical to check the furnace drive system and evaluate the radial runout of the ceramic rolls. Using a level to ensure that the ceramic rolls are horizontally aligned can also prevent this problem.

Improper Glass Pretreatment

A large part of the white haze problem stems from pretreatment, mainly due to glass dust from edge grinding. This dust should be washed off before tempering. If the wash water is not properly cleaned, this can lead to a white haze from the glass washer. To avoid this, clean the glass washer tank frequently.
